Who runs this
poll.trq.lol is an independent community-polling site under the trq name. It is not affiliated with Discord, Mojang, or any server, client, or anti-cheat a poll might ask about.
What we collect
When you sign in with Discord we request the identify scope only. From that we keep:
- your Discord user id (a public snowflake) and your display name or username.
We do not request or store your email. Our login system has an email field, so it stores a synthetic, non-routable placeholder (your-id@discord.invalid) that is never a real address and never sent anything.
When you vote we store:
- which poll you voted on and the option or options you chose,
- when you first voted and when you last changed it,
- a record tying that vote to your account, so one person votes once.
We also keep one sign-in session, stored in our own database rather than Discord's.
Some polls add a check at the moment you vote: a minimum Discord account age, or membership of the companion Discord server. Your account age is read from your Discord id with no extra request. Membership is checked through a bot only when a poll requires it, and the result is not stored.
What is public
Results are open by design. We publish aggregate tallies only: how many votes each option received, both on the site and through an open JSON and CSV export.
Individual votes are never published, sold, or shared. Who voted for what does not leave our server.
Who processes your data
- MongoDB Atlas stores polls, votes, and sessions (our own cluster).
- Discord handles the login (OAuth).
- Vercel hosts the site.
We do not use analytics, advertising, third-party trackers, or tracking cookies, and we never sell data.
Cookies
One strictly-necessary cookie keeps you signed in. There are no tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through.
Keeping and deleting your data
You can change or remove your vote yourself while a poll is open. To delete your account and every vote tied to it, email us at the address below and we will remove them.
Closed-poll aggregates may stay public indefinitely, but never with your identity attached.
Children
You must be at least 13 to use the site, matching Discord's own minimum age.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the date at the top. Notable changes are also recorded in the site's changelog.
